The World Health Organization reported on December 31, 2019, that mysterious pneumonia had struck dozens of people in Wuhan, China. It would take me months to realize the extent of what was happening in our world and at our workplaces.
Mid-March was a difficult time for me to write culture blogs about employee retention. I never thought I would be sharing with you, dear reader, how to lay off employees with compassion or how leaders can share heartbreaking news with their thousands of employees.

This year was the one that nobody expected. However, 2021 has given my job as Great Place to Work editor-in-chief a lot of meaning.
Together with our culture experts and data scientists, I have had the privilege of helping you. From COVID-19 pulse survey advice to making sure that your Black employees feel safe and seen in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death,
These are the top blogs we will read in 2021. I hope you find this advice as timely as it is timeless.

You have found a book blog. What now?

Let’s suppose you are an author and have found two book blogs that are perfect for reviewing your book.

  • Make sure you read the review policy. Check that the book blog to which you are submitting review requests is open for review. If this is the case, make sure to carefully read the blog’s review policy and follow the instructions for the letter.
  • Make your pitches unique. Book bloggers can immediately distinguish between bulk pitches that are sloppy and indifferent. Why should a blogger read your book if you haven’t taken the time to write a pitch? To increase your chances of receiving a response, personalize each pitch.
  • Make sure your book is presented professionally before you send it. You might consider apps like Instafreebie and Bookfunnel if the blogger requests a digital ARC.
  • Keep track of your progress by creating a spreadsheet. You can save time and effort by creating an Excel spreadsheet to track your progress (and the results).
